Do you have COVID-19 antibodies? Discover for your own peace of mind whether your body has developed an antibody response with a simple and accurate COVID Anti-Body Health Test.

Whether you are simply interested to find out your antibody levels for your own health tracking, or you need to report your immunity for travel or work, this health test can give you answers by telling you whether your body has made an anti-body response to Coronavirus.

Why is it recommended to test for COVID-19 antibodies?

COVID-19 antibody testing should be conducted at least 14 days following exposure or the onset of symptoms. The health test will be able to tell you whether your body has made an anti-body response to Coronavirus, either after the Covid vaccine or
naturally having immunity to the virus after having a past infection of Covid-19.

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) Antibody Test can also show you whether your body has fully recovered from the virus.

How do I get tested for COVID-19 antibodies?

The COVID anti-body health test will take a small amount of blood, which will be tested for coronavirus antibodies. Most people who have had COVID develop antibodies to the virus. It is likely, but not yet known for certain, that the presence of these antibodies provides a degree of protective immunity from future infection.

“The Covid Anti-body health test is a blood test to check if you’ve had coronavirus (COVID-19) before or been vaccinated. The test will be able to tell you whether your body has produced anti-bodies in response to having the virus, or after being vaccinated.”

    How a Sample is Taken

With most health tests, there are two options for taking a sample of blood, which is used to test for certain biomarkers. The two most common options are a finger-prick or venous draw:

    Finger prick Draw:
Health Tests that take blood via the ‘finger-prick’ method are usually done within the comfort of your own home, enabling you to take a small amount of blood discreetly and conveniently when you want to.

    Venous Draw:
Once you have booked your health test, you’ll be sent the blood kit which includes all the equipment needed for a professional blood draw by an experienced healthcare professional, with clinics available across the UK to take your sample.

Details about which option is available for this health test, are available when you compare the results.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    • It is important that you wait at least 14 days from the onset of symptoms, or from exposure to the virus, to do a test looking for COVID anti-bodies. When the immune system is fighting off infection, the process known as ‘seroconversion’ produces antibodies, which can then be detected in the bloodstream. If you do not test within this window, then it is not always possible to reliably detect antibody levels.

    • A positive result does not guarantee 100% that you are immune to COVID-19, but it does mean that your body has fought the virus before, and therefore you do have a degree of immunity, especially if your body has coped with the infection previously. Research is still ongoing regarding this.

    • When your body is infected by an antigen (for example a virus or substance), your immune system produces a response. Protein is made by plasma cells, called “antibodies”, which are your body’s own way of fighting off and treating the antigen infection.

    • Antibodies do stay in the body long after a viral infection, however, longer-term antibody persistence studies for Coronavirus have not yet been concluded.

    • A vaccine works by stimulating your immune system to produce antibodies, exactly like it work if you were exposed to the infection. The covid vaccine does not infect the body with coronavirus, but provokes the body into producing anti-bodies like it has. So yes, in a round-about way, the covid vaccine does give you antibodies.
