What do YourHealthTest do?

YourHealthTest compares Health Tests from the leading providers, for a wide range of conditions, diseases, and ailments, and gives the user the results in an easy-to-understand way, helping them to make an informed choice. You can choose the health test right for you, whether that’s the cheapest test, the one with the most biomarkers or the one that gets you a follow-up appointment with a private GP. Whatever your preferences, we’ll help you find the test that ticks all the boxes for you.

How does the process work?

Using our site is a very easy process. It’s a simple as 1, 2 and 3!

Why should I use YourHealthTest?

How is the blood taken?

There are two options for taking a blood sample for this Health Test- a finger-prick or venous draw.  Health Tests that take blood via the ‘finger-prick’ method are usually done within the comfort of your own home, enabling you to take a small amount of blood discreetly and conveniently. A Venous Draw is taken by an experienced healthcare professional in a clinic or medical facility setting and is usually drawn from a vein in your arm.

Does it hurt?

Having your blood drawn is a different experience for everyone. A finger-prick draw will feel like a small “pinprick” to your finger, whereas a venous draw will be slightly different. When a venous draw is completed by an experienced professional or nurse, drawing blood from your arm is a fast and minimally painful experience. You will feel a small “scratch” as the needle goes into your arm, but the drawing of the blood is largely a pain-free experience.

I need the results fast. How fast can I get them?

The aim is to get the results to you in the fastest way, without compromising the accuracy of the test, therefore it is dependent on each test and their collection method. For at home health tests, results will be withing 24/48 hours of the test being returned to the provider, whereas health tests conducted at clinics, for certain health tests can have results within 5 minutes of it being conducted. Please refer to the individual health test page for information on how long it will take to receive your results.

How will I receive the results?

Depending on the provider, you’re results will be sent to you via your chosen method, whether that’s a call with a professional, GP, email or in your personal dashboard (for example, for LetsGetChecked health tests).

Can the test results be passed onto my GP?

Yes, you can take the results from your health test to your local doctor or GP, and ask them to add them onto your file. They are not transferred to your doctor automatically.

Do people have more than one health test?

Yes, it is very common for people to use health tests to test for all sorts of things. There is no limit to how many health tests you can have. Is it possible to health test regularly?

Yes, many people using health tests to monitor their health or on-going condition, for example liver function or diabetes. Health tests can not only tell you whether you have a disease or ailment, but whether it is improving too.
